So I surrendered to the temptation and bought an iPhone. And now I found this cool plugin for MT that let’s you manage your blog from your iPhone. So this is my first post from the iPhone.

New Year
Haha! I don’t know what is with my writing an English blog that always ends up with the same fate, dead! But this time I am not giving up. I will resuscitate you my dear blog, hang in there.
I will continue the translation of the story in a separate page. But for now I want to talk about the new year. The Persian new year started on Thursday at 1:48am. This is the exact time of the vernal equinox. So we spread the Haft Sin, a spread of 7 items representing life that start with sound "S". I had to replace some with the "traditionally incorrect" ones but I liked our Haft Sin this year.
You can see a tagged version in flickr.
Resolutions? How about keeping this blog updated frequently? Also one other important thing is keeping in touch with old and new friends. I will try doing that even if it is with a how-are-you-doing on their facebook walls or a lengthy call at 11:45pm. Let’s see.
Begining
So I don’t know how many times I have started writing a blog in English, and haven’t continued it. I guess a major reason is audience. It is more that 6 years that I have kept a Persian blog. I can’t say I have been a professional blogger but just the thought of connecting to my friends and the friends that I have made via my blog takes me back to writing every now and then. But in having an English blog I lose that motivation. I don’t have that many non-Iranian friends. Actually before coming to school I can say my non-Iranian friends were in one digits.
The other thing is topics. Whenever something interesting comes to my mind and I want to write about it I naturally post it on my Persian blog which has more readers and then I run out of topics.
So why do I want to start again? I don’t know. In some ways I feel I am more and more in an English speaking culture both professionally and socially. So I should try to be more active in this culture in my own ways.
So I start with this post and also a series of my amateur translations of a comic strip based on the famous story of the Doll Behind the Curtain by Sadegh Hedayat.
The reason I am putting this is recently we watched the movie Lars and the Real Girl I immediately thought about this story. If you know the storyline and then keep reading this story, I think you would agree too. So here it is my first post in my new blog …
